The Llama Magic Fleece Contest judges half fleeces and is designed to encourage llama and alpaca owners who have never entered a fleece contest to give it a try. Fiber fact sheets on how to prepare a fleece to be judged are available ahead of time, as is advice on handling the fleece both on the animal and off. Fleeces may be mailed to the fiber competition chair before Llama Magic or brought to Llama Magic by 9 AM Saturday morning. Rating sheets provide details on how each fleece ranks in a variety of categories, and recommendations are given on the best use of each fleece.
